Israeli troops reportedly killed 15 and injured 1400 unarmed Palestinian demonstrators on the first day of what organisers are calling ‘The Great Return March’ which is expected to go on for 45 days of protests and events planned. This is to mark 75 years since Nakba.
The 1948 Palestinian exodus, also known as the Nakba, occurred when more than 700,000 Palestinian Arabs fled or were expelled from their homes, during the 1948 Palestine war.
Recent videos in circulation on social media show Mike Murphy a former broadcaster with RTÉ the Irish National television station joining and supporting protesters preparing for the march home.
Also Israeli forces claim violent clashes took place with demonstrators. This video shows otherwise while praying a young unarmed man was shot.
