Tadhg de Búrca will miss the All Ireland Semi Final
Good News For Cork Bad For Waterford Waterfords Tadhg de Búrca will miss the All Ireland Semi Final against Cork on Sunday after the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) upheld his suspension shortly after 1.30 a.m. last night. The Déise defender saw his red card after his side’s quarter-final victory over Wexford played at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on the weekends double header last month for ‘deliberately interfering’ with the helmet or faceguard of Harry Kehoe. Some say it was more of a media driven incident again but he did do the act so this decision was a tough one for the D.R.A The resulting one-game ban was appealed to the Central Hearings Committee, before then being taken to the independent DRA, which is the last of any appeal, and their decison was made last night.
Despite media reports floating around after midnight that the Clashmore-Kinsalebeg player would start and in fact had been cleared it was at 1.38 am this morning that the suspension had been actually announced. So Cork have the stars aligning for them in some way hopefully.
