ALDI warn customers over scam in whatsapp

Aldi Ireland have issued a warning to their customers after being made aware of a hoax survey currently circulating on messaging services such as whatsapp.

The link being circulated generates a page claiming to be ALDI and offer the short survey as a way of redeeming a €150 shopping voucher on completion and also to share with another 20 friends in whatsapp.

This is the page you would see and also highlighted in red are grammatical errors. Also note the web address at the top has no lock to show the site is unsecured. (Check phone or browser developer as some platforms show a lock and some may show the address in a green colour)

“If you receive a message with a link to the survey please do not click the link or insert any personal information. This offer is FRAUDULENT and CANNOT be redeemed in our stores,” a statement from the discount supermarket giant read.

This scam is currently being investigated, and urge customers to contact them on verified means on social media or contacting customer service.
