CORK were crowned inaugural All-Ireland U17 hurling champions at Croke Park Sunday the 6th August 2017

The Rebels ended up finishing the game by a two-point victory.

The Dublin side were reduced to 14 players when midfielder Tom Aherne was dismissed in the 42nd minute of the second half when he was booked for a second time, which couldn’t have helped dublin weakening the squad.

Fintan Clandillon and his young Dublin side put it up to the rebels but it wasn’t to be on the day.

Dublin did get to within 1 point with eight minutes to go but at no point were they able to draw level.

Some of the Cork side will be back in action next Sunday the 13th August in the Minor All Ireland semi final at Croke Park where again they meet Dublin for a place in the Final.
