Champions’ League FInal 2017/18 Pre-Match Rundown

Juventus V Real Madrid truly is ‘the immovable object vs the unstoppable force’ in every sense of the word. Old School defending versus the Immortal CR7 and Co. 200 Million viewers watched the 2016 Champions League Final, I’m sure we’ll see that figure go to 300 million this year due to the opponents. In a repeat of the ’98 final that finished in a 1-0 victory for the Galacticos which actually saw Real’s current boss Zidane play for Juventus and the unlikely scorer in Yugoslavia’s Mijatovic, when Real had Raul, Morientes and Suker.

I’m hoping we see a much better match than we saw that night, as it turned out to be a quiet boring match. On their journey to Cardiff Juventus have had to overcome Porto, Barcelona and Monaco in the knockout stages by just conceding 1 goal, whereas Real have 1 clean sheet in the knockouts conceding 7 but scoring 16.

We can talk all day about the greatness of both teams. Both won the respective leagues, both have superstars throughout their squads but I think Real will have the upper hand tonight and that’s down to one man…Ronaldo. Love him or hate him, he loves the big stage.

I’m going for a Real 2-1 victory tonight, I can see Juventus scoring first but the ‘Great One’ to score a brace. The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff with the roof closed will be rocking tonight. Let’s hope we get the game to match
