A COMMEMORATION service planned for members of the Royal Irish Constabulary and the Dublin Metropolitan Police has been deferred.

The event was to take place in Dublin Castle on the 17th January 2020.

Minister Charlie Flanagan has said the service has now been deferred.

Leo Varadkar sparked nationwide fury defending what the Irish public deemed to be insulting to Irish heroes who fought for our freedom.

Many politicians including the Lord Mayor of Cork John Sheehan were declining the invite to the controversial event.
