Its great to see one of our own telling his Story
James was invited to be a guest on the RTÉ One show The Tommy Tiernan Show.
A nephew of our own Alan, James was with Unity as a contributor before he knuckled down to his studies and is living proof that people can change and people can turn their life around.
James tells Unity of when it all changed. Enough was enough and wanted more for his life.
James who now has a masters in Criminology from University College Cork – UCC summarises then until now saying
“I met Gillian who encouraged me to go to college. She believed I could do more with my life experience and was the push I needed. “
James went to the Cork College of Commerce first for a year doing community studies.
He then continued on to UCC then for 3 years doing a degree in Youth and Community Work.
He didn’t stop there when he furthered his studies for one more year gaining a masters in Criminology.
James is now working for the Cork Education and Training Board Youth Services.
