Prison officer’s car petrol bombed, also damages family home in Blarney, Co. Cork
Gardai are investigating an incident which occurred around 1am this morning in Blarney, County Cork.
A prison officer’s car was petrol bombed causing extensive damage to the car, although no one was hurt the blaze did cause the occupants of the home where the car was situated to flee for their own safety
Fire fighters arrived quickly and managed to extinguish the blaze but not before extensive scorch damage was caused to the front of the property.
Two youths wearing hoodies were reported to be seen fleeing the area at the time of the incident.
A forensic examination is underway.
